HP ColorSpan designs, manufactures and markets mid-volume large format digital inkjet printers for the Print Service Provider (PSP) segment of the graphic communications market. Since 1985, ColorSpan printers have pioneered innovative features such as the Big Ink® Delivery System, use of multi-density six, eight and twelve color ink sets to improve image quality and on-board cameras for automated calibration and color correction.
ColorSpan was acquired by Hewlett-Packard on November 1, 2007 and today manufactures mid-volume UV-curable inkjet printers for the commercial PSP market under the brands of HP Designjet and HP Scitex.
