File Size and Output Resolution Calculators
For the highest quality images on large format printers, it is important (among other image quality issues) to have sufficient resolution in your files for output at any given size. Too much information (resolution) will result in minimal print quality gains, while increasing the amount of time and effort it takes to manipulate and print the file(s). Insufficient resolution, however, can cause defects often described as 'pixelated,' 'bitmapped,' or even 'stairstepped.'
