Getting Started...
The MacOS provides an excellent tool to calibrate your monitor without the use of any specialized tools, calibrators, or software. All you need to do is use your eyes and answer a few questions based on what your eyes tell you. After that you'll have a reasonably calibrated monitor.
This section takes you through the screens you'll see when calibrating your monitor using ColorSync. To continue through this section of the tuturial, click here or on the arrow in the bottom image. To start the operation on your Mac, you would open the monitors and sound control panel, and click on the 'Color' button. You will be presented with the following screen which will allow you to:
- Choose a profile to use for calibrating your monitor.
- Calibrate an existing profile to create an new/updated profile.
