Introduction to ColorMark+ 1.5
What is ColorMark+ 1.5?
ColorMark+ 1.5 is a software package from ColorSpan that enables users to create custom ink and media transforms with up to six process colors for their ColorSpan printer/server installation. It also makes it possible to manipulate several image properties after the print job has already been processed by the server. Finally, it makes it possible to include the ColorSpan printer/server in an ICC color management workflow.
Supported printers
ColorMark+ 1.5 can be used with each of the following printers:
- DisplayMaker Series XII
- DisplayMaker HiRes-8
- Giclee PrintMaker-FA
- DisplayMaker FabriJet XII
The DisplayMaker Esprit is not supported by ColorMark+ 1.5.
Supported servers
ColorMark+ 1.5 requires a RIPStation 200 or better, or a ColorMark Pro 2000 or better.
Other Requirements
ColorSpan Print Server Software version 8.1 and ColorMark Color Management System software version 7.51 (included on the ColorMark+ 1.5 CD) or newer versions are required for ColorMark+ 1.5.
No additional hardware is required to take advantage of the post-RIP image manipulation features. To create new ink and media transforms and ICC profiles for DisplayMaker HiRes-8, Giclee PrintMaker-FA, and DisplayMaker FabriJet XII, an external input device (calibrator) is required. The DisplayMaker Series XII can use its onboard CCD image sensor to create new transforms and profiles for four, six, or eight-color ink sets. To create new transforms and profiles for any ink sets using the additional process colors of blue, orange, red, and green, an external input device is required.
Supported external input devices include:
- ColorMark Calibrator
- X-Rite DTP-41
- X-Rite DTP-41/T
- Gretag Spectrolino with Spectroscan table (supported with Series XII and FabriJet only)
